Collection: Grasses, Sedges and Rushes
There are hundreds of grasses, sedges and rushes that are native to the Ottawa Valley. Many of these are bunch forming and excellent to plant among your other native plants. Our native grasses, sedges and rushes, are often underplanted compares to flowers. However, they can be quite visually stunning and provide essential habitat for many animals, including being host plants for many different butterflies. To best support our local wildlife I recommend aiming for at least a one third ratio of grasses, sedges and rushes, to flowers.
While we are working up to providing this amazing diversity we hope you will enjoy our selection in the meantime.
