Installation & Landscaping

🌿 Installation & Landscaping

Landscapes rooted in place.

We design and install outdoor spaces that are ecologically resilient, regionally appropriate, and built to endure real conditions — drought, thin soils, seasonal flooding, and everything in between. Our work is guided by the land itself: its sunlight, drainage, soil composition, and the native plant communities best suited to thrive there.

Native Plant Installation

We specialize in plant communities shaped by the natural extremes of this region — species that have spent centuries adapting to challenging environments and require minimal intervention once established.

Our installations include alvar and thin-soil species, sand and dry-site plantings, pollinator gardens and native meadows, wetland and shoreline plantings as well as tree and shrub installation. These are not ornamental plantings designed to be replaced every few seasons. They are communities built to last.

Water-Conscious Landscapes

We design and install landscapes that work with moisture rather than against it — rain gardens, pond and shoreline plantings, wetland and seasonally wet meadow installations, and drainage-sensitive planting zones. By selecting species adapted to fluctuating water conditions, we create plantings that manage runoff naturally while supporting biodiversity.

Stone & Integrated Hardscape

Where appropriate, we incorporate natural stone elements that reflect the geology of our region, including our signature Alvar-Inspired Limestone Patios & Rock Gardens. Hardscape is treated as part of the ecological system — not separate from it.

Our Approach

We prioritize regionally native species, locally sourced seed material, long-term resilience over short-term trends, and designs that deepen and improve with time. Landscapes should not fight the land — they should work with it.

Pricing

Installation services are billed at $100 per hour or quoted by project depending on scope and complexity. Free estimates are available. For detailed site-specific planning, a consultation may be recommended prior to installation.

If you're looking to create a landscape that reflects the ecology of the Ottawa Valley while remaining practical, durable, and beautiful, we would be happy to discuss your project.
