We offer on-site ecological consultations throughout Ottawa–Gatineau and beyond, helping property owners develop a genuine understanding of their land — its biodiversity, soil conditions, moisture patterns, historical plant communities, and long-term restoration potential.

This is not a garden design service. It is a grounded ecological assessment of what your property holds, what shaped it, and what it could become.

What's Included

Each consultation includes an on-site walk-through and ecological assessment, identification of existing plant species with native, non-native, and invasive status noted, and observations on soil conditions, drainage, sunlight, and site gradients. Where relevant, we also provide historical ecological context — identifying the forest community or plant ecosystem that would have naturally occupied your site prior to disturbance.

Following the visit, you receive a detailed written report covering site conditions, species observations, ecological history, invasive species management recommendations, and a sequenced restoration plan tailored to your property. A full bilingual species inventory — English, French, and scientific names — is included as a structured reference document you can use going forward.

The goal is not just to hand you a planting list. It is to give you a clear picture of your property's ecological trajectory and a practical path forward.

Investment

Consultations start at $300 for smaller urban or residential properties within Ottawa–Gatineau. Larger rural properties, multi-habitat sites, and waterfront or wetland assessments are quoted individually based on complexity and travel distance.
