Agrimonia gryposepala (Fr: aigremoine à sépales crochus | En: tall hairy agrimony)
Description:
Tall hairy agrimony (Agrimonia gryposepala), is a pretty perrennial that produces many small yellow flowers in mid summer which are arranged in a spike-like cluster at the top of the stem. It is commonly found in open woods, fields, and along roadsides. The plant grows up to 2 meters in height and has slender, hairy stems with multiple branches. The flowers are followed by small, burr-like fruits that can stick to clothing and animal fur. However, as far as burs go, this one is pretty easy to clean up, unlike burdock or begger's ticks.
